The monkeypox virus has been diagnosed for the first time ever in the Netherlands, reported the Dutch public health institute RIVM. The organization believes that even more people may have been infected. They did not provide information about the person’s age, gender, or place of residence.
The majority of bus drivers in Eindhoven and Venlo are on strike, said Marijn van der Gaag, director at FNV. “Only one bus has left since 6 a.m. this morning. Most bus drivers will join the strike.”
